WALLINGFORD SOCCER CLUB SCHOLARSHIP

This scholarship, presented by the Wallingford Soccer Club, is intended to honor your participation in
the Wallingford Soccer Club, as well as your achievements in academics. The amount of the
scholarships to be awarded each year will be based upon the number of qualified applicants and the
financial status of the WSC Scholarship fund.

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, certain basic criteria must be met:

1. You must have a minimum of 5 years playing and\or service to the WSC.
2. The last year of playing or service must be within the last 4 years prior to high school graduation.
3. A WSC participant is considered a player, coach, referee, or volunteer with the WSC. 
Note that solely playing in TWIST or helping at a concession stand does NOT meet this requirement.

It is essential that the following information be submitted along with your application form:

1. A personal statement of no more than 250 words explaining how you believe the
Wallingford Soccer Club was important in helping you form values and develop your
outlook on life. (Typewritten is preferred.)

2. Two reference letters: one from a business or a professional person not related to you
who has known you personally over an extended period of time; the second from a
faculty member or coach from the school you are presently attending.

3. An official school transcript that must include grades and cumulative class rank for
seven semesters (including the first semester of your senior year).

4. The completed application must be received by April 1, 2025.

The Scholarship Committee will not review any application that does not comply with the above conditions.
